While corporate seals are not required some companies find using one to be beneficial in some situations. The raised impression adds an official look to corporate documents such as contracts and certificates. Companies also find it useful for documents that are going out of the country.
Traditionally corporate seals have always been embossers that give a raised impression but with the importance of photocopying and scanning of paperwork many companies are now using rubber stamps.
